Let me be…

fly

I wanna fly across the sky,
Spread my wings and go up high,
feel the wind on my face and the clouds on my lips,
and keep flying for a very long distance.

I wanna walk as far as the horizon
Not knowing any destination
relax by taking all the beauty within
But keep walking without rooting in.

I wanna swim alongside the whales
Live like turtles to tell many tales
Be a fish with little fins
Without wondering- Do I fit in?

Because this human body feels like a tight glove
I feel like a caged bird caught from above
Boundaries created by good willed souls
To keep me safe and in their holds
Freedom only spoken in words
Makes this life miserable.

Let me fly, let me be free
Let me be who I was born to be
Don’t fence me in with your dogmas and ideals
And make me a moving talking machine

Let me live, let me shine
And follow my heart not thine
For that is when “Being Human” becomes a joy
So come on, join me let us rejoice!

From a mother…

motherchild

The day you entered the big big world
My motherhood was born too.
An important role I had to play
With no manuals or how too’s;
You became my sun around which my whole world revolved.
You laughter was the only thing I expected as a reward.
A love I never knew found its way into my heart.
To love unconditionally was what I was being taught.
My precious child, but I am not without faults
I have many weaknesses too which I need to work on without halt.
I fumbled, I have tried to do everything right.
So please forgive me for all the things I have not done well in your sight.

In my perfect world…

In my perfect world,
We will live without borders
Reach out to one another in time of disorder.

In my perfect world,
We will speak a language everyone understands
Leave our egos and love will outstand.

In my perfect world,
Not one human goes to bed hungry without food
We will strive to provide and share all that is good.

In my perfect world,
Money will not be our currency of trade
But talents and services will be exchanged.

In my perfect world,
Whatever we manufacture will be degradable
That which is not, will at least be reusable.

In my perfect world,
For every tree that is cut down
A thousand will be planted.
Animals will be given space to wander.
We will let them live without human encounter.

In my perfect world,
Every child will be cherished and taught about this magical place,
So that he grows up to protect and guard it and leaves it
better than the previous human race.
